About Us

Eller Scholars was founded in order to help honors students in the business college prepare for entrance into their professional lives after college. Today, Eller Scholars is a club in which its members are given the opportunity to network with possible future employers, meet fellow business students, and reach out to the Tucson Community through philanthropy.

Co-President

My name is Colby Larson and I am currently your Eller Scholar's co-president. I have held numerous leadership roles over the past three years, and am excited to continue serving and bringing new ideas to the club. If you are a new member, welcome to our club and feel free to contact me at any time. I am currently a Senior, majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. I have spent the last summer working at Bourn Partners, working on valuing real estate portfolios and understanding the financial underpinnings of real estate transactions. After graduation, I plan on going to law school, and hope to start my own practice helping start-up companies.

Secretary

Hello, My name is Timmy Jaw and I am the new Eller Scholars' Secretary. This will be my sophomore year
here at the University of Arizona and second year as a member of ES. When I'm not busy trying to get ahead
in my school work and reading up on the news I like to stroll around campus and take in the beautiful Arizona climate. I also enjoy spending my meal plan on Highland Market delicatessens, such as sandwiches and breakfast burritos. I'm all about going to the Rec center also, throughout freshman year I found a number of intriguing activities to do around the facility. I highly recommend you all to attend events around campus, especially ELLER SCHOLAR ones: free food, free stuff, free friends, free contacts, free learning?!

This is my third year in Eller Scholars and I am very excited to take on the role as your Outreach Officer. I have a passion for philanthropy and I look forward to bringing you fun and rewarding opportunities to get involved with the club and the Tucson community. Outside of school, I keep busy as an intern at the Tucson Medical Center Foundation where I help plan events to raise money for the healthcare needs within the community. In my free time you can find me traveling, golfing, eating, shopping, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.

Fundraising Officer

My name is Tracy Goebel and I am this year’s returning Fundraising Chair. The past two years I was in charge of scheduling all fundraising events in order to raise money for the club. Such events included car washes, ice cream and dinner fundraisers, as well as several other events. This year I hope to schedule new and exciting events that will earn the club a great deal of money and prove to be entertaining for all members involved. I also participate in other clubs around campus such as Students Consulting for Non-Profit Organizations (SCNO) and Young Life. I am currently a senior in Eller as an Economics and Finance double major. I hope to eventually be employed by RSM McGladrey as a consultant and then work my way up to management. At the present moment, I am a server at Mimis Café where I truly appreciate the value of a dollar. I am extremely ecstatic to get this year underway and invite anyone to come visit me at work to chat or just to snack on one of Mimis’ famous muffins.

Webmaster

My name is Joey Wycoff and I am your webmaster for this year. My major is management of information systems and operations management so it is only fitting that I am doing something I love by putting together our website. After college I want to go into IT consulting. I am currently kept very busy by my job at IBM and I am invovled in several other clubs around campus. I would like you to let me know what you want to see from the website this year so that I can help keep it functioning to its fullest capacity for everyone. I am happy to serve you in any way I can, just let me know what you need.
